Hollow Horse

12x18” Fudenosuke pen drawing on hot press watercolor paper.

✍🏻 I like to leave lore up for interpretation but here’s a little insight into the motivation for this piece: This was the first dream I had as I slept off a fulfilling but emotionally trying final day with my dog, Bailey. She was physically more of a baby brown bear than a horse but galloping down the beach and chasing the waves was our favorite thing to do together. Now she triumphs the coast with longer legs, as tall as two men, and a bright-hot mane that streaks with fog and fury… a force of love and nature.
The background clock tower displays the time at which she shifted from our plane. 💛

Thanks for looking and reading.
